Textile and garment exports target set to $45 bn for FY18

The country’s textile and clothing export target is set to $45 bn for the current fiscal, lower than the initial target of $48.5 bn set for the previous fiscal who was missed by a huge margin. A delegation from the knitwear hub of Tirupur led by Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) visited Odisha to assess investment opportunities in setting up garment manufacturing units in the State. Haryana Textile Policy aims for integrated development of textile sector

The Haryana State Government announced the State specific Textile Policy on April 2017 aiming for integrated development of the textile industry with the State, at the same time remove the current mismatch across the value chain, said Credit rating agency ICRA recently.
