Introduces newer ideas to break free the monotony
Through years, Amazon India Fashion Week has cultivated the power of design on this extraordinary platform. Behind the buzzing, Tblooming chaos of this convention is systemic change that it tried to initiate within the industry. This year it met again to celebrate the 31st edition of the Amazon India Fashion Week in association with Nexa Autumn Winter 2018, held recently at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.
Style makers, renegades and new entrants joined hands to take this journey forward on the runway and the exhibit area, forming a new repository of ideas for the future of this country. It is this vigour that drives us to render these presentations like never before each time. Almost 100 designers presented their ideas through the medium of ensembles on the runway and exhibit area, making it a memorable season. From showcasing the power of handlooms to an ode to digital revolution, from taking a stroll down memory lane through retrospectives to introducing fresh formats — this year it homaged to lots more.
Sunil Sethi, President FDCI said, “We, at the FDCI, have always believed in introducing newer ideas to break free the monotony. Taking this spirit forward, every evening of Amazon India Fashion had the vibrancy of a grand show, instead of just a last-day grand finale, in order to commemorate as many designers as possible and to celebrate inclusivity.” Some of the leading fashion designers who participated in the fashion week were Abraham & Thakore, Namrata Joshipura, Anju Modi, Ashish N Soni, Autre by Gautam Gupta, Malini Ramani, Pawan Sachdeva, Rina Dhaka, Sahil Kochhar, Samant Chauhan, Shivan & Narresh, Vineet Bahl, Wendell Rodricks to name a few.
