Subsidy under TUFS set to rise |

|
The Textiles Ministry will increase pay-out under one of the most successful government industrial scheme - Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS). The subsidy under TUFS has been enhanced to `10 bn to be paid over the next five years to the Indian textile industry. The Ministry has aimed to modernise around 10 per cent or around 200,000 powerlooms over the 12th Five-Year-Plan period. |
