Lenzing achieves best half-yearly results

The Lenzing Group has generated new record highs in the first half of the 2017 financial year for both revenue and earnings. The profit for the period improved by 58.9 per cent to 150.3 mn euro. Consolidated revenue increased by 11 per cent from the first half of the previous financial year to 1,149.1 mn euro. Consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) were up 38.8 per cent to 270.7 mn euro, corresponding to an EBITDA margin of 23.6 per cent in comparison to 18.9 per cent in the prior-year period. In May of this year INVISTA announced it had purchased Cone Denim’s dual core patent portfolio. The patent estate covers a broad variety of dual core yarns, fabrics, and garments made from those fabrics, which are sold in the US, China, and most recently, Europe.
