Bangladesh cabinet clears draft of textile act 2017

The Bangladesh cabinet has approved the draft of the Textile Act 2017, which will make it mandatory for all companies operating in the textile and apparel sectors to register their companies with the Directorate of Textiles. As per the draft, companies will have to obtain a license from the directorate to set up or operate a textile or apparel unit.
