For the first time, sustainable technology company Jeanologia gathered agents involved in the Bangladeshi textile industry to create a 100 per cent “Made in Bangladesh” collection. The collection debuts at the Bangladesh Denim Expo, November 8-9 in Dhaka. From fabric manufacturer to end product makers and buyers, the collection was developed in Bangladesh with fabrics woven in the country and finished by Jeanologia. The collection serves as an example of ethical, eco-efficient fashion and how the technology firm can become a reliable partner in the country’s textile industry’s growth. Jeanologia Asia Division Director Jordi Juani said, “Using our technology in the production processes, we have managed to be more competitive and speed up time to market, offering a modern sustainable product.”
Juani added, “Not only does our technology increase productivity and energy efficiency, it also reduces water consumption and eliminates harmful emissions and residues.” Jeanologia has been present in Bangladesh for over 15 years, supporting the textile industry in its objective of becoming one of the biggest world textile centers. Jeanologia´s intention has been to increase the production capabilities of producers in Bangladesh, especially in the denim sector, providing advisory services and cutting-edge technology to improve efficiency and end finishes.
The company reports that it has an international and local multidisciplinary team that gives technical services, support and training. More than 20 employees are dedicated to the Bangladeshi textile industry.
At Bangladesh Denim Expo, Jeanologia will also host a talk about collaborative design in the denim industry. Juani will explain the importance of collaboration, from the conception of the idea through its transformation to the sale of the product, can achieve a stronger industry.
