SWF, the brand name of SunStar Precision Co. Ltd. Korea was established in 1974 and is among the biggest players in the field of embroidery machines. The company manufactures embroidery machines ranging from single head to multi head, all with coiling, cording and sequin attachment devices, and has clients in more than 150 countries.

The company, which stopped its operations four years back in India, is again active and has a made a re-entry into the market. “We are working towards returning the SWF SunStar brand back to the very high standard that we achieved a few years ago. As in the past we will be the industry leaders. With our skill, knowledge and commitment to success the future is looking good. We are concentrating on our network and customer support programme’s initially whilst production of new machinery ramps up, at the same time, developing new skills in the SunStar Company to deliver improved products to our customers in India,” said BS Park from SWF SunStar while speaking exclusively to Swati Sharma, Assistant Editor, Apparel Views.

“For last 25 years I was working with a leading group in electronics, which was a totally different field. But I know that to make a business successful, building confidence in customers is very important. India is a very big market making middle segment cloths for global buyers. Step by step we will grab the market by bringing great technologies, which will be best in this segment. I am a beginner in this field and will do my best to improve our image again with support from best engineer and sales person in the Indian market,” Park added.

“Though because of some financial issue, four years back, Sunstar SWF stopped its services in India but now everything is completely solved. For coming back to India we needed strong financial support, which a very strong group is providing us, so now we don’t have any issues,” said Park. “For last few days I have been going and meeting many of our old customers, and based on their feedback I am strongly confident about our brand’s re-entry into the market. Now, my strategy is to provide best service support along with latest upgraded technologies at best price to our customers.”

Excited over company’s recommencement of its operations in India, Vikram Verma, Service Head, SWF SunStar India said, “I am very happy that SWF SunStar is back into the market. The company is having goodwill in India market especially because of their machines, installed even 10-15 years back running successfully till day. For last few years we had problems in terms of availability of spare parts and other technical issues but now they are supporting us very much. We have a very good team, which is taking feedback from customers’ everyday and managing it. We are also informing everything to our principals who are very positive and aggressive to support us.”

Speaking over the marketing plans Sanjay Singh, GM-Sales & Marketing, SWF SunStar said, “In last one month I have visited many of our old customers and they are very happy with their SWF SunStar technologies to which we have added some unique changes. We are very aggressive with marketing but first of all would like to rebuild the confidence in customers for SWF SunStar. This is my prime motive, and if I can make that then nothing can stop us. However, we are not in hurry and believe that only slow and steady wins the race.
