Urja 2017- Regional Managers Meet not only sets its eye on the new financial years’ skilling targets but also attempted to chart a new road map for taking up new projects and programs under various skill ministry of State Govts.
With the launch of “Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Programme” under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) in Ludhiana and signing MOU with Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission MPSSDM to train 1,00,00 youth every year under MKSY and for training 3,000 candidates under NULM & 2547 candidates under RSLDC, Jaipur. ATDC is geared up for next stage of consolidation, organic growth and employability. The focus is to strengthenquality and excellence in training and delivery.
Also on ATDC’s agenda to double its intake in its B.Voc Degree Programme and the belief is that the seeds of the future lie in the efforts that have gone into in the past. This and the next phase of Skill development was on the agenda at the “ATDC Urja 2017” two-day intensive meet that was held at the ATDC National Headquarter in Gurgaon, Haryana on May 11 and 12. Attended by over 30 key ATDC Regional Managers and State Coordinators from across India, the meet was graced by HKL Magu, Vice Chairman, AEPC, in the presence of Hari Kapoor, Senior Vice Chairman, ATDC, GS Madan, Vice Chairman, ATDC, Dr. Darlie Koshy, DG & CEO, ATDC and Others.
“We need to strengthen ATDC for the future challenges by working closely with the changing requirements of apparel industry and focus on quality, efficiency and delivery with the focus techniques. Going forward I have advised ATDC to focus on pursuit of excellence by raising the bar of quality and facility, course inputs and employment linkages,” stressed Ashok Rajani, Chairman, AEPC & ATDC.
The objective of the workshop were not only to evaluate and optimise performance of ATDC Vocational Institutes/Smart Centres but also changes to be made in policies, curricula, infrastructure and quality implementation.
The meeting also discussed the skilling goals set for the financial year 2017-18. Overall the meet not only deliberated on the achievement so far but also set the ball rolling to meet next year target. Needless to say but the past performance ensures a bright skilling future ahead
