About 21 Bangladeshi fabrics, garment and leather manufacturers are participating in an international apparel exposition in Paris. The exposition titled “Texworld – Apparel Sourcing, Paris” is the largest sourcing fair for garments and fabrics in France. Bangladeshi entrepreneurs participated in the fair under the support of Bangladesh’s Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). The EPB has set a national pavilion for the Bangladeshi participants. Bangladeshi stands are passing time with trade enquiries and buyers from US, UK, Turkey, Germany, France and other European and Central Asian countries are visiting the stalls, said on a report of the Messe Frankfurt.
Among the Bangladeshi participants — nine are knitwear, five denim, four fabric and three leather manufacturers are taking part in the world’s largest trade fair. A wide range of fashion products from major manufacturing countries like China, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Pakistan will be displayed at the fair. Texworld – Apparel Sourcing, Paris, is one of the best options for Bangladesh RMG sector to improve their market share not just in France but all over Europe. Combined with Apparel Sourcing and Leather world, a total of 1,742 exhibitors have participated in this edition. By now the fair has recorded almost 15,000 visitors. Visitors are coming from all over Europe with a large number of buyers from UK, France, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Germany. It is considered as one of the most effective apparel sourcing exhibitions in Europe for Bangladeshi exporters, as a good number of buyers always visit the stalls. Bangladesh has set its 7th National Pavilion under the banner of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) for the Bangladeshi participants in the 4-day international fair.
Exhibitors from Bangladesh who participated in the expo under Fabric category include Experience Textile, Evince Textile, Mahmud Fabrics, Zaber & Zubair Fabrics and NZ Textile. Under Denim category Argon Denims, Chittagong Denim Mills, Mahmud Denim, and Nice Denim are attending the event. Under Apparel category- DK Sweaters, Delphitex Industries, Eve Dress Shirt, Everbright Sweater, DD Sourcing, Hellenic Sourcing, Stylelead Fashion, Team Sourcing and Shangu Group are also displaying their products in the Paris show. Under Leather category- Amass Footwear, BLJ Bangladesh Corporation and Megumi Footwear attending the programme while Leather World Paris made its debut at the same venue during the Texworld-Apparel Sourcing Paris.
