Country’s overall exports grew 5.81 per cent in the outgoing fiscal year (FY18) to $36.67 bn from $34.65 bn of the fiscal year 2016-17 (FY17) riding on the higher shipment of garment products, according to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). However, the earnings are only $840 mn less than the fiscal year’s target of $37.50 bn. Like previous fiscals, the garment sector was the driving force and helped maintain the robust growth in the FY18.
