JUKI CORPORATION (hereinafter called JUKI) has decided to open a new manufacturing factory in a suburb of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat located in Western India spread over 6000 sq. mtr. JUKI aims for starting its operation from June 2024 as a production section of JUKI INDIA which is a subsidiary of JUKI.
JUKI is now working on reconstructing manufacturing systems responding to the risks of supply chain disruption under “Medium-term Management Plan Growth & Transformation Plan 2025” which has started since year 2023. In recent years, demands of industrial sewing machines are surging in factories of customers in Southwest Asia (includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, etc.), the middle east and Africa, and for capturing the needs of these growing markets, JUKI will strengthen its responsiveness of manufacturing by starting production in the new factory of India.
JUKI has been manufacturing industrial sewing machines in Japan, China and Vietnam, and by newly manufacturing industrial sewing machines in India for making manufacturing systems more flexible, JUKI aims to establish systems for quickly responding to the needs of customers who are operating in countries located on the western side of India.
