French firm Brodelec has continued its long-running partnership with printing specialist Kornit Digital by investing in its Atlas Max technology. Kornit launched the solution in April, suggesting it breaks new ground in versatility and expands the reach of digital on-demand printing.
For Brodelec, the printer will enable it to more swiftly respond to new clients wanting custom impressions.
“Kornit’s printers are the only printers able to pre-treat and print at the same time,” noted Hugo Willems, Brodelec’s Sales Manager.
“By offering the possibility to print lower volumes, they’ve enabled us to approach new customers and explore other markets such as associations and smaller businesses. We can produce on demand, so it is a much more sustainable way to print than screen printing.”
The Atlas Max leverages XDI technology, which the company says delivers “revolutionary 3D capabilities” for new, high-density graphic decoration that can simulate embroidery, vinyl and heat transfer in a single, waste-free process.
The innovation is based on Kornit’s patents and is said to expand the firm’s offerings to include new-to-market and innovative decorations.
“Kornit is proud to have served Brodelec’s digital print needs for more than fifteen years now, as they’ve relied on both direct-to-garment and roll-to-roll print capabilities to offer their customers consistent quality on demand,” said Chris Govier, Kornit Digital’s EMEA President.
“They’ve long served a number of tourism clients, and when COVID struck and the tourism business disappeared overnight, we worked with Brodelec to build a fast and reliable solution for protective masks. We have a true partnership with Brodelec, and it’s one that continues to generate business value and opportunity in a constantly evolving, dynamic marketplace.”
