The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association has released data which shows that Pakistan’s textile group’s exports have decreased by 19 percent year-on-year (YoY) in November 2022 from 1.74 bn in the same month last year (APTMA). USD to USD 1.4 bn (provisional).
Exports totaled $7.44 bn in the first five months of the fiscal year 2022-2023 (FY23), a decline of 4 percent from $7.76 bn in the same period last year. When compared month-on-month, apparel exports grew by 3.3 percent, reaching $1.4 bn in November from $1.357 bn in October.
November was the second consecutive month when the country’s textile exports declined. Additionally, exports of the textile group declined by 15.23 percent year-on-year (YoY) in October 2022.
According to data provided by APTMA, after growing slightly year-on-year during July, textile exports registered a growth of 8 percent and 9 percent in August and September respectively.
