The textile unit invests Rs. 120 cr to give employment to 650 youth in KathuaAfter investing Rs. 120 cr and providing employment opportunities for 650 young people, a textile plant at SIDCO (State Industrial Development Corporation) Bhagthali in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, has begun operations. One of the companies that have established a presence in SIDCO, the recently constructed industrial complex located in Bhagthali, Kathua, is Bloomtex Industries.

Bloomtex Directors Mukesh and Anil Tyagi attended the opening of the company’s largest plant, Bloomtex Industries, at SIDCO Bhagthali, along with Vikramjit Singh, the Commissioner to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Industries and Commerce Department.

Officials from Bloomtex stated that the business has been positioned as a greenfield enterprise. SIDCO has leased 201 Kanals of land (25 acres) to the company at the Bhagthali Industrial Estate in Kathua, officials said. The company intends to invest over Rs 550 crore on this area over the course of three phases. The initial 120 crore phase has already been put into action.

“The second phase of the project will now be implemented from April 2024 onwards at a cost of Rs. 138 crore and will start production latest by June 2025. The third phase will be of approximately Rs. 300 crore, which will be implemented in the year 2026-27 before the central sector Industrial Policy expires,” Mukesh Tyagi said.

Speaking about employment opportunities, Tyagi said, “The employment in the first two phases will be over 650 and once the third phase is completed, around 1000 people will get employment at this project. The company is being promoted by Mukesh Tyagi and Anil Tyagi.

The project is set to benefit the Kathua area’s local economy and provide sizable employment in Jammu and Kashmir.
