A positive trend has been observed in apparel exports during the July-September period of the current fiscal year 2025-26. During this period, export earnings reached $9.97 billion, which is 4.79 percent more than the same period of the previous year.

According to the country-wise export data of Bangladesh for the July-September period of the fiscal year 2025-26 recently published by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), the European Union (EU) is the top export market of Bangladesh with 47.60 percent of the total apparel exports. The amount is $4.75 billion.

Exports to the United States were $2.01 billion (20.18 percent), the United Kingdom $1.22 billion (12.23 percent) and Canada $336.70 million (3.38 percent).

Year-on-year, exports to the EU increased by 3.64 percent, the United States by 8.60 percent, Canada by 13.63 percent and the United Kingdom by 6.74 percent.

Bangladesh’s apparel exports to non-traditional markets increased by 0.77 percent. Exports in the knitwear sector increased by 4.31 percent and in the woven sector by 5.41 percent.
