A delegation of the Bangladesh’s apex garment makers’ body recently called on the Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Md Mustafizur Rahman in New Delhi seeking his support to boost trade with India.
The delegation of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) led by Faruque Hassan — Faruque Hassan is BGMEA President — consisted of the Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Press, Publication and Publicity Shovon Islam; BGMEA Vice-President Shahidullah Azim, and Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Trade Mohammed Kamal Uddin.
The delegation was in India recently to attend sourcing meet and road shows organised jointly by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry in India and BGMEA and from 9th – 12th February even as they also discussed the current Bangladesh-India trade situation and the potential of boosting bilateral trade between the two countries.
