From next-gen materials to the realities of recycled content, RE&UP is helping lead the conversation – and action – on the future of sustainable textiles. In the span of one impactful week, RE&UP took part in two major industry events, bringing its expertise to global stages where innovation meets accountability.
At the Global Fashion Summit, General Manager Andreas Dorner joined the “Fibre Futures” panel on the Ignite Stage, alongside other voices shaping the next chapter of material innovation. Reflecting RE&UP’s leadership in polycotton solutions, Dorner shared: “When it comes to polycotton, RE&UP is the go-to solution provider.” Chief Sustainability Officer Ebru Özküçük Guler, also contributed to the program by moderating the session “What is Next-Gen?” – a timely discussion with Riyong Kim (European Environment Agency) and Katrin Ley (Fashion for Good). “The shift to next[1]gen materials isn’t just about innovation, it’s about building the systems to scale them responsibly.”
At the same time, in Brussels, RE&UP brought its perspective to the Textiles Recycling Expo, where Head of Global Marketing and Communications Marco Lucietti joined the panel “Scaling Recycled Content: Turning Ambition into Industry Reality.” From infrastructure and investment to policy and transparency, the discussion centered on how to turn potential into real progress. As Lucietti summed it up: “The energy was high and the message was clear: it’s time to turn circularity from a commitment into a capability.”
From tackling complex fiber blends like polycotton to scaling recycled content across the value chain, RE&UP is committed to turning bold ideas into actionable solutions. These conversations are only the beginning as the company is ready to keep pushing boundaries, building partnerships, and driving the transformation our industry needs.
