They say knowledge is power and the importance of both was clearly visible at the Uniform & Sportswear Expo (USE) 2024 Seminar held on Friday, 30th August 2024 at South Avenue Hotel, Tukoganj, Indore. Over 35 leading uniform manufacturers from Indore attended the Knowledge Sharing Session from 7.00 – 8.30 pm, which was followed by informal networking and discussions over dinner. Adding to the awareness quotient were the table top displays of relevant products by leading brands, which were the Knowledge Partners: Skyscreen International (P) Ltd., Mumbai (Authorised Distributors of Stahl’s Heat Transfer Vinyls & GCC Cutter / Plotter) and SERA Sewing Machines.
Devang N. Sheth, Director, Vibgyor Expositions, welcoming those gathered and introducing Uniform & Sportswear Expo 2024 along with details about noteworthy aspects that make it a ‘must-participate’ event. Harshit Gala, Founder & Creative Director of Ohhphish Branding Solutions & Co., then made a presentation on the ‘Importance of Branding in Business Growth.’
Commenting on the thought process behind the interactive session, Devang Sheth, said that “It was a good gathering of the uniform & sportswear manufacturers. They were very happy to understand the importance of branding for their business growth and we had a very good interaction with them. This type of interaction helps the industry to grow and also facilitates understanding the needs or requirements of today’s fast changing fashion industry. We are planning to hold such seminars in 2-3 more cities to create more awareness within the uniform and sportswear industry. A Big THANK YOU to everyone who attended, we look forward to welcoming all of you at Uniform & Sportswear Expo 2024, Mumbai!”
“It is clear that the upcoming edition of the show will be even bigger and more impactful than its predecessors. USE 2024 promotions have moved into higher gear and our strategic decision to participate in events like the inaugural edition of Great India Textile Show (GITS) 2024 at Meerut and the second edition of GarFab TX 2024 at Jaipur have already made an impact,” he explained.
Explaining the reason for scheduling the knowledge session in Indore, Devang Sheth pointed out that it is a fast growing and important apparel or garment manufacturing centre. A few months ago, media reports had highlighted that Indore’s manufacturers of apparel and garments have recently collaborated with the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) to develop their skills and survey new markets while enhancing the quality of their production. With a market size projected to surpass Rs.1,000 crore, Indore’s readymade garment sector, central to 1,000+ garment makers, intends to promote its brand nationally and enlarge its presence both domestically and internationally, the reports said.
The third edition of Uniform and Sportswear Expo will be held from November 21-23, 2024 at Nehru Centre, Mumbai, with a new, co-located event, Daily Wear Expo. This noteworthy addition will be held parallelly during India’s leading B2B industry expo, marking the next step of USE’s evolutionary journey as it strides forward on the path to progress. This three-day event provides the freedom to interact in a focused manner with a relevant visitor profile, while showcasing varied products and related services in an enabling environment.
USE 2024 will be a catalyst for transformation leveraging the strong textile base and printing facilities in India. This initiative will enable manufacturers from this country to export all over the world; facilitating the ‘Make in India’ efforts as they progress and achieve a level of true success.
