In November 2021, Fashion for Good launched the ‘Sorting for Circularity India Project’, a consortium project to build an infrastructure towards greater circularity in India by bringing together industry players like adidas, Levi Strauss & Co., PVH Corp., TESCO, Arvind Limited, Birla Cellulose, Welspun Group, and Laudes Foundation.
Over the last 9 months, as part of the project and in partnership with Sattva Consulting, Saahas Zero Waste, and Reverse Resources, Fashion for Good has conducted an extensive study to understand the textile waste landscape in India. Taking it one step further, the platform is happy to share the launch of their textile waste study in-person on 27th July (10:30 am to 1:30 pm IST) in collaboration with Apparel Export Promotion Council at their Apparel House in Sector 44, Gurgaon.
The agenda includes: Introduction to Sorting for Circularity India project, Learnings from the Study, Bringing Textile Waste back to Global Supply Chain, Industry Leaders Panel on the “Closing the loop in the Indian textile Industry”, Next Steps to build India as a Circular Sourcing region.
