Fashion SVP 2026, the longest established sourcing show, wrapped at Olympia London on a strong note, with high levels of engagement across both days as buyers, brands and manufacturers came together for focused sourcing and commercial discussions across the global fashion supply chain.
There was strong excitement surrounding The Designer of the Year Awards, which recognise emerging designers. This year’s judging panel was headed by Harold Tillman, the longest-serving Chairman of the British Fashion Council and former head of Jaeger and Aquascutum. Judges were impressed by the exceptional calibre of entries, with this year’s award presented to Yiet Khan, a BA (Hons) Fashion Design student at University for the Creative Arts. The Designer of the Year Award is fast becoming one of the most sought-after and prestigious accolades for fashion students across the UK.
Crowds flocked to The Innovation Hub, in partnership with Arts University Bournemouth. Showcasing emerging technologies including AI tools, VR workflows and digital product development solutions, it reflected the growing adoption of innovation across fashion sourcing and design. A key highlight was the Holobox, displaying 3D digital garment designs. Visitors also had the opportunity to meet Holly New, the world’s first VT fashion designer, recognised by the BBC as a leader in the VR fashion space. Fashion SVP looks ahead to expanding this area further at future events as it continues to develop as a hub for technical innovation.
Across both days, inspiring seminar sessions addressed key industry themes including sustainability, competitiveness, digitalisation and supply chain transparency. One of the standout speakers was Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, Professor at Ravensbourne University London, whose seminar, Can Fashion Save the World?, challenged perspectives and explored how sustainability and ethics can create real business value.
Following a successful 2026 edition, Fashion SVP will return this November for its milestone 20th edition at Olympia London, expected to be its largest to date, with an expanded international exhibitor base and enhanced content programme.
The event continues to position itself as a key meeting point for sourcing, production and innovation across the global fashion industry.
