Fineotex Chemical launched its new facility in Ambernath, on the outskirts of Mumbai, on Tuesday. The new manufacturing hub is one of the several new investments FCL has made in recent months. This latest expansion comes on the heels of a strong second quarter financial result for the company.
The new plant is a logical and necessary step in strengthening the company’s competitive position at a local and global level. New equipment expenditure for its plants, a revamped online presence (www.fineotex.com), the implementation of new technologies and sustainability at the company’s core core signal strong business growth for the organization. More than ever before, the focus is on balanced growth.
Commenting after the opening of the new facility, Mr. Sanjay Tibrewala, Executive Director, said, “After several consecutive strong quarters we’re very pleased to announce the opening of a new location in Ambernath. This new location allows us to better align our services with our customers as many of them have facilities in Ambernath. Through strategic brown-field projects like this, FCL will remain at the forefront of the specialty chemical space by providing outstanding customer service for both current and prospective partners. This is a state-of-the-art automated unit which complies with the highest standards of sustainability.”
The company has deployed Rs. 270 million in the project for augmenting the manufacturing capacity. Highlighting on the company’s strategic location, Ms. Aarti Jhunjhunwala, Executive Director, said, “This is not only an opportunity to bring more jobs to the area, but it also allows us to further expand our manufacturing capabilities and meet the growing needs of the specialty chemical market. We plan to produce sustainable certified chemicals in this new plant. Here, our new plant reactors are bigger and we can achieve a shorter turn-around time and cut the current lead time by 50% and deliver faster.”
Mr. ArindamChoudhuri, CEO, said, “Fineotex continues to expand its product range and provide unique offerings to all customers. Presently, our production capacity along with BioTex, Malaysia, is 43,500 Mt yearly and with the powering up of the Ambernath facility, we will add another 36,000 Mt from December 2021. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art new generation infrastructure with modern amenities which are the need of the hour to produce chemicals in a sustainable way with more advanced automation, storing capacity & logistical handling. Our capacity is fungible so we can produce 300-odd varieties of textile chemicals, polymers for the detergent industry, oil and mining chemicals and also cater to the health and hygiene segment with Indian FDA approval solutions like dish wash bar, toilet bowl cleaner, hand sanitizer, hand wash etc.”
