Surat, an emerging city in the State of Gujarat, is known as the textile city of Gujarat. And the epithet is perfectly suited to the city. The textile industry is one of the oldest and most widespread industries in Surat. The industry of Surat is mainly engaged in the activities of polyester yarn production, weaving, processing, and embroidery. It is well-known for its production and trading of synthetic textile products, dressing up entire regions in India and exporting printed fabrics all over the world.
The 17th edition of Garfab-TX Surat, an international trade show on textile, apparel, and embroidery technology along with fabrics and accessories, was held at Swarnabhoomi, Dumas Road, Surat from January 04-06, 2022. The show was inaugurated by Darshanaben Jardosh, Hon’ble Min. of State (textile) GOI, in the presence of leading players from the Surat textile industry
Garfab – TX Surat provides a unique platform for international and national suppliers and trade visitors to expand their business opportunities in the textile industry in India through networking and engaging in investment opportunities during the show. The show has grown manifolds with each edition and helped the industry to upgrade its factories from second-hand machines to new machines. It will highlight products like sewing, embroidery, testing equipment, accessories and trims, dyeing machines, and texturising machines.
While speaking after the show BP Mishra, CEO, Vardaan Events Pvt. Ltd said, “Improved market scenario and latest technologies on display played an important role in attracting good visitors’ footfall at the show. For last 2-3 years, Due to the Covid crisis, the textile sector in Surat was suffering, and we are confident that the market will begin to recover in the future. The market for textile and weaving is in uptrend now. So, it’s going to be a good year for the industry here. Prior to the show, some of the exhibitors were apprehensive about customers’ footfall, but when they came here it was far better than their expectations. All the exhibitors reported large number of enquiries and many on the spot order were also placed. So, again Garfab-TX proved itself as the best platform in this region.”

We provide embroidery machines with top quality and service. We’ve launched a new technology called Panther 2.0, which is a high-speed machine with a dynamic pantograph that gives a very good embroidery finish. We’ve also launched a single-head machine with all devices for the purpose of sampling. This plays a great role in cost-saving and providing immediate designs for sampling. Since the exhibition was conducted two years ago, people are curious to know what’s new. This has helped us to get a satisfactory response and consumer feedback

We’re displaying an all-in-one multi-head embroidery machine with jump motor technology and a moving sequin device. Another one is the roll-to-roll fabricembroidery machine, where you don’t have to do any framing. You can put a 200m fabric roll and do embroidery, which saves a lot of time and money. Apart from this, the next one is the new multi-head hot fix sequin punching machine for garments. No other company has this machine, and we’re the only ones showing it here. After such dull times, the response has been great, and the experience has been great. I hope this continues in the future

We’re dealing with four products. Embroidery Machine, Circular Knitting Machine, Digital Sublimation Printing Machine, Split Warping Machine Here, we’ve displayed two different machines. One is a multi-head embroidery machine, which is from Promaker, the best brand from China. This is the latest setup that any embroidery factory has as of now. The quality and finishing of the machine are unmatchable. The second one is an 8-head sublimation printer. It can produce 4000-5000 mtr per day. It’s the best of its kind in terms of work, production, and efficiency. No machine can match its production and resolution. The pandemic has proved that only the best and the top ones can survive and thrive. When it comes to embroidery machines, no exhibition is even close to GarFab. The response has been much more than expected, and we’re glad to be a part of the GarFab family

We are displaying positioning or location printing technology, which is offered by our company only. Its main advantage is AI i.e. artificial intelligence which captures images from software and then prints it. I have been working on this project for last 2 years and till day have installed 20 machines in Surat. Response is good and future also looks very promising.
Visitors are coming and witnessing this technology as this is very new to India, and is from China. This is the best exhibition in the region, footfall is high and mostly embroidery and jacquard people are coming. Value addition is the key and digital will always be there in good demand.

Garfab show has provided us an opportunity to meet all our customers together under one roof. Here we are displaying paper printing a.k.a sublimation printer from Epson Japan. There latest printer has been kept for demo here. It’s USP is print head technology i.e. TFP, which Epson specifically makes for its own printers and doesn’t supply. The technology is of 64th inch width but ink consumption is really less when compared to other printers in the market.
Besides, Espon has added its own RIP software in it. Nowadays, sublimation printing is in boom in Surat. In last six months we have sold around 60 Espon printers. Apart from it, we also offer DGI from Korea and Epson’s Monnalisa. We have already sold two Monnalisa machines in Surat and Kolkata. Also, DGI is getting very good response in North India as digital textile printing has a very bright future ahead.

Here we’re showing Durst, which is a digital printing technology from Italy. We’ve just recently taken Airjet Loom from China and a new agency for Weilong, which is a circular knitting machine from China. We’re a very old distributor for Tajima embroidery machines in Western India. Our most popular machine after the Tajima is the NNH machine, which applies rhinestones directly to the fabric. Traditionally, most companies first put it on transfer paper and then transfer it to the fabric, whereas this machine puts it directly onto the fabric.
The response has been good; a lot of footfall, a lot of enquiries. Now we’ve got to see how we materialise those enquiries into orders. After so many years we’ve participated in the exhibition, it’s good to see such footfall. I hope this continues, COVID goes back, and the market reaches new heights

This exhibition is like a silver lining. We’re finally getting a customer’s response and their feedback, which is of the utmost value to us.
