“In the year 2001, we started GTE. The journey during these 21 years has been incredible. We witnessed lots of ups and downs, and now we have been accepted as an international exhibition for the garment industry in India. The last two years were very tough for the industry due to the COVID pandemic. I’d like to thank this industry humbly for being with us for the past two decades. Without their support and cooperation, this could not have been possible, “says Ricky Sahni, Joint Managing Director, Garment Technology Expo.
Due to COVID, the show was postponed to May, which is quite hot in Delhi, but we are going to have improved air-cooled and air-conditioned structures for the comfort of visitors and exhibitors. We have changed the timings of the show to 12 PM–8 PM. This is the only show in the sub-continent that attracts more than 20 countries and 500 participating brands. All the world’s stalwarts will be present here to showcase their latest developments. “Ambrish Chopra, Director, Garment Technology Expo.
“GTE is a very good platform to see the latest automated apparel technologies.” The need of the hour is to produce zero-defect goods, and at every GTE edition, we see new and innovative technologies that help produce apparel faster with zero defects. I personally request each and every garment manufacturer in India to visit GTE if they want to stay updated with the latest technologies, “Arpan Shah, Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association, Ahmedabad said.
