Veave’s Studio is an apparel brand offering elegant and graceful hand-woven sarees, dupatta, stoles, fabrics and handspun yarns that add a touch of sophistication and stately opulence to everyday ensembles.
Our story began 4 years ago in 2015. Back then we were working with a small network of traditional weaving communities and trying to build awareness & provisions for the revival of their lost art form. As any business might have it, Veave’s Studio was borne out of a need – to provide the local community of weavers a livelihood and provide a platform for them to showcase their intricate handwork. Although the company is a for-profit brand, we’ve been able to seamlessly provide for the weavers and reintroduce their remarkable heritage and make people understand how fundamental their work is to our culture.
Today we’re privileged to work with multiple communities across India: West Bengal, Banaras, etc. – providing authentic and exceptional products out of our retail boutique store and online presence. Vatsala Chopra is an Indian businesswoman and Founder of Veave’s Studio – an apparel brand based out of Banaras. Vatsala today spearheads Veave’s Studio towards achieving the aim of creating a platform for India’s traditional weavers to showcase their rich heritage and making exquisite collections of stole readily available to people. Having been involved in operations during her film industry years, Vatsala’s successful streamlining of the brand’s supply chain and operations became a critical addition to the international success of the brand.
Currently focusing on the domestic market Vatsala has been instrumental in steering the brand up the growth ladder since sales started in India. Being the chief believer of Veave’s Studio and having spent time nurturing personal relationships with weavers across India, she brings enormous knowledge and vast expertise to the brand, besides enthusiasm and professional exposure.
