Chinese apparel manufacturer Handa (Bangladesh) Garments Co. Ltd. is set to invest US$ 41.33 million in BEPZA Economic Zone, Mirsarai to establish a state-of-the-art garment factory. The company will produce over 72 million apparel pieces annually and create 10,112 jobs for Bangladeshis.
An agreement was signed today (30 July 2025) at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka. BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, BSP, ndc, psc, and Mr. Han Chun, Chairman of Handa Group, along with senior officials of both organizations, were present at the signing ceremony.
The Executive Chairman thanked Handa for choosing Bangladesh—especially BEPZA Economic Zone—as their investment destination. Mr. Han Chun shared Handa’s vision, stating that they are investing not only for cost advantages but to build a digital, automated, and sustainable factory as part of a long-term commitment to Bangladesh.
This milestone strengthens BEPZA EZ’s growing reputation as a hub for diversified, high-value industries.
