Japan’s imports of clothing and accessories increased by 24.8 percent year-on-year to 233,597 mn yen in June 2022. The import was 2.3 percent of total import of 10,013,136 mn yen during the month under review, according to the provisional trade statistics released by the Far Eastern Country’s Ministry of Finance.
According to the latest data, the import of textile yarn and fabrics were valued at 109,056 mn yen in June 2022, which was 34 percent higher than the same month of last year. The import was 1.1 percent of the total import of Japan.
Japan’s export of textile yarn and fabrics was worth 70,249 mn yen, with increase of 19 percent year-on-year. The export was 0.8 percent of total export of 8614,670 mn yen from Japan during June 2022. Japan exported textile machinery of 20,075 mn yarn, which was 7 percent lower than June 2021. It contributed 0.2 percent in total export.
