As India’s textile industry advances towards greater efficiency, sustainability and higher-value production, innovative manufacturing technologies are becoming increasingly important. In light of this, VDMA India and the VDMA Textile Machinery Association are organising the India-Europe Textile Machinery & Technology Forum on 2 December 2026 in Mumbai.

The one-day conference and B2B event will bring together decision makers from the Indian textile industry with experts from leading VDMA Textile Machinery member companies and their Indian partners. The forum will present technologies and practical solutions designed to increase productivity, enhance product quality and strengthen the international competitiveness of textile manufacturers. A particular focus will be placed on automation and digitalisation, AI-supported quality control, technical textiles, nonwovens, energy-efficient production processes and advanced finishing technologies. The event will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about current European technology solutions and discuss their application in the Indian textile industry directly with technology providers.

Renowned technology providers

Experts from the following VDMA member companies will present their solutions in Mumbai: Barmag, BW Converting, Georg Sahm, Groz-Beckert, Lenze, Mahlo, Thies, Trützschler Nonwovens, Weitman + Konrad (Weko).

In addition to the technology session, the topic of export credit guarantee (ECG) by the German Government will be presented. ECG provides a useful instrument to support Indo-German trade.

Meeting the needs of India’s textile value chain

The forum addresses textile and nonwoven manufacturers and exporters across the entire value chain, including companies active in spinning, winding, knitting, weaving, nonwovens, dyeing and finishing. Application areas include apparel, home textiles and technical textiles.

The event is particularly aimed at senior decision makers such as mill owners, CEOs, managing directors, technical directors and plant managers, as well as executives responsible for automation and AI, digital transformation, engineering, maintenance, production, sustainability and circularity, quality and energy management. Professionals involved in mill modernisation and operational excellence are also invited to participate.
