India's Arvind Q1 profit slips on fall in denim revenueIndian cloth manufacturer Arvind reported a 33 percent slide in quarterly profit on recently, hurt by falling revenue in its key denim segment, even as expenses reduced. The company, which houses brands such as Calvin Klein, Ed Hardy and Tommy Hilfiger, said its consolidated net profit fell to 658.7 mn rupees ($8.04 mn) for the quarter ended June 30 from 984.2 mn rupees a year earlier. The global textiles demand outlook for the current year remained soft, analysts had said.
