There is a fine line separating basic development from true creative experimentation. Crossing that line at this year’s Kingpins Amsterdam, SOKO is ready to show how the intersection of cutting-edge technology and authentic craftsmanship can still genuinely surprise the denim world.
Rather than simply presenting a list of new releases, SOKO’s showcase in Amsterdam unfolds through four thoughtful projects designed to redefine what finishing can do.
The search for expressive color takes on a new dimension with SOKO Shadow. This technique plays on dye-resistance and color migration to create rich contrasts and vintage-inspired tones, highlighting seams and pockets without relying on harsh discharge chemicals. In this edition, pairing SOKO Shadow with laser and ozone technologies has unlocked unexpected visual depth, bringing dynamic movement to the fabric.
When it comes to tactile finishes, innovation takes shape through Resoko Underglass. The concept is straightforward yet striking applying a transparent, glass-like shine to the fabric. The result is a smooth, soft material with a refined, leather-like feel that transforms classic garments into elevated, contemporary statement pieces.
Proving that collaboration is the true engine of sustainable fashion, NATURALLS brings together Avalo, The LYCRA Company, Neela, and SOKO, with creative direction by designer Gordon Muir of Labor Made Inc. Drawing inspiration from authentic workwear and the people who cultivate textile fibers, the collection reimagines next-generation denim. From low-impact cotton and renewable fibers to SOKO’s HYDROGEL and RARE finishing technologies, every detail reflects a more responsible approach to the craft.
