NATIVA™, the globally recognized ingredient brand offering traceable natural fiber solutions, is launching its NATIVA™ Wool and NATIVA™ Cotton programs on TextileGenesis™, a Lectra company. Using TextileGenesis’ fiber-to-retail (FTR) module and Fibercoin™ technology, the rollout replaces PDF-based Transaction Certificates with a secure digital chain of custody.

From certified farms to 100% digital end-to-end traceability

NATIVA fibers are sourced from certified farms that meet strict standards for animal welfare, land management and ethical labor practices. Until now, tracking materials across downstream processing stages has relied on paper-based certificates, which are difficult to manage at scale and vulnerable to fraud.

With TextileGenesis, NATIVA adopts a fully digital model. Each physical shipment of NATIVA Wool or Cotton is linked to a unique digital token via Fibercoin technology, creating a tamper-resistant record at every transformation stage. This eliminates the gaps inherent in manual documentation and provides an auditable trail from raw fiber through to finished product.

A robust tool to back CSR claims offering full visibility for brands, across their supply chain, the token-secured data can be used to authenticate responsible fiber claims and to detect potential issues upstream, such as overclaiming, mass balance mismatches or unauthorized material substitution.

With regulatory requirements such as the EU Eco-Design for Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR) approaching implementation, this provides brands with a stronger data foundation for product-level disclosures, as well as precise compliance reporting.

“NATIVA™ sets the standard for responsible fiber sourcing. NATIVARegen™, its global regenerative program, goes further — actively restoring the soil, educating farmers, safeguarding biodiversity and empowering communities. Now, through TextileGenesis, every step of that journey is digitally verified and fully traceable, giving brands a credible foundation to share with the end consumer,” said Maria Estrada, Global Director of NATIVA™.

Traceability that starts at the source

NATIVA’s supply chain is being onboarded to the TextileGenesis solution across tiers and geographies, with Fibercoin modules capturing each step as a verified digital record. Origin data embedded in the certified farm-level program by NATIVA™ becomes part of a connected value chain that follows the material all the way from nature to the finished garment.

“Most traceability programs operate product backwards and only gain visibility to the yarn or fabric stage. With NATIVA, the Fibercoin model from Fiber-to-Retail is leveraged, with traceability data starting at the farm. This means brands have a connected record from the source of the fiber through every processing step to the finished product,” said Amit Gautam, Founder and CEO of TextileGenesis.
