Three weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) scheme in Amravati, the Maharashtra State Government has started negotiations with 15 textile companies to establish their units there. These companies include majors like Raymond.
220 hectares have been purchased by the Amravati district administration for the project. Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister, stated during his visit to Amravati that the Government would begin infrastructure projects by signing a contract with the Centre following the conclusion of land acquisition.
