The Odisha Government has cleared a major investment proposal in the textile sector as part of its latest industrial approvals. Colortone Textiles Pvt Ltd will invest ₹700.29 crore to establish an integrated textile facility in Khurda, expected to create 1,010 direct employment opportunities.
The project was approved by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, during a meeting that cleared 25 proposals across various sectors.
Officials said the investment underscores Odisha’s strategic focus on employment-intensive industries like textiles and apparel, aimed at strengthening the state’s manufacturing base and generating large-scale jobs.
