Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated a new garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister interacted with workers and toured the manufacturing unit alongside the Chief Minister to review its facilities and operations. The two leaders also visited a product exhibition showcasing items manufactured at the facility.

According to an official statement, the new unit is aimed at strengthening the textile and apparel manufacturing sector while supporting industrial development in the region. The facility is expected to generate employment opportunities, particularly for women, and contribute to the local economy.

The statement said the facility, which serves a global customer base, would help take garments manufactured in Varanasi to international markets. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied PM Modi during the inauguration.

The inauguration also reflects efforts to expand manufacturing activities in Uttar Pradesh and promote investment in the textile and apparel sector.
