Première Vision Denim returns to Milan with globalPremière Vision’s denim-focused event will take place in Milano at Super Studio on May 21 and 22. Some 80 companies are expected to exhibit hailing from Italy, Turkey, Morocco, China, Japan as well as France and the United States. A newcomer to the show, Woolmark will be present to promote wool in denims, offer guidance and technical support to those looking to diversify their offerings.

The PV Denim trend forum will explore the notion of hybrid denims. It will feature special projects on luxury denim, by Aurélia LeBlanc, and on sustainable craftsmanship, in a collaboration between designer Kelly Konings and Italian denim maker Gommatex.

A programme of conferences is also scheduled with presentations by Anne Oudard, Ani Wells, Amy Leverton and Kelly Konings who will dig into the potential of jacquard weaving in the world of jeans.

The high point of the event is expected to be the special tribute to Luigi Martelli, denim master extraordinaire and beloved industry figure, who passed away in January. PV Denim show manager Fabio Adami Dalla Val with support from Adriano Goldschmied and Giovanni Petrin are preparing the special exhibition, staged by APOO, for the denim community. A section sponsored by Isko.

After a successful first run last December, Première Vision is dedicating a specific space to young designers (Project Tomorrow) whereas more established brands have their own space in the Denim Fashion District section.
