SIDBI training workshops on enhancing productivityUnder the Cluster Intervention Program of SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), training workshops are being organised on ‘Market Intelligence & Technological Development’ for MSMEs of the Ahmedabad Apparel Cluster. These sessions will take place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Ahmedabad Management Association, University Road, Ahmedabad. These would cover “Best Practices to Improve Productivity, Quality, Product Development, and Competitiveness of Apparel MSMEs.”.

The training sessions to be delivered by Rajesh Bheda Consulting are designed for MSME apparel factory owners and key staff who are interested in implementing good practices and committed to improving their performance, competitiveness, and profitability. Key speakers include Dr. Rajesh Bheda, MD RBC; Sanjay Gohel, VP, AAMEG; Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI); Deepika Diwan, Sourcing Strategist, Karin Kilian Dürkopp Adler; Rakesh Kumar, VP, ABFRL; Prof. Asha Baxi; and Abhishek Gupta, Sr. Consultant, RBC.

On November 26th, the focus will be on product development and business growth opportunities, exploring opportunities for small apparel manufacturers, strategies for working with Western retailers, and tips for product development to foster business growth.

On November 27th, the session on productivity improvement fundamentals and best practices will address the global and domestic scenario of the apparel industry, improvement potential for the industry and technology trends, productivity improvement methodologies, and case studies and action plans for low-hanging fruits.

On the final day, November 28th, the focus will be on profitability through quality in the apparel industry, quality, profitability and competitiveness, quality expectations of fashion brands/retailers, quality KPIs, quality tools, and case studies and action plans for low-hanging fruits.
