The textile production of Surat has been growing continuously for last 12 years; one of the main reasons behind the growth is the ability to adapt to changes and the latest trend. It is also necessary to update the technology used at the industry as well as the infrastructure. The current supply and demand factors provide very conducive and favourable business environment for the technological investment. In such scenario, there is a big need to the industry to upgrade itself with the latest technological developments taking place worldwide.
That is why for providing these technologies under one roof, and promoting the ‘Brand SURAT’, Surat Embroidery Association (SEA) and The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI) jointly organised the 2nd edition of SITME 2020 – Surat International Textile & Machinery Expo from 3-5 January, 2020 at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC). Exhibitor comments…
SEA is a very old platform but earlier it was used only to organise exhibitions. But now we are using it to promote the industry. We have organised the show smoothly with SGCCI’s support. This is the first exhibition where we have given personalised invitations to all the customers via exhibitors directly. We have organised this show at 50 per cent cost and used the remaining money in R&D for industry’s betterment. Here, Surat based companies are able to see the technologies that were presented at CISMA at their door step.
So, we hope Surat will witness growth in 2020 with these models. Nowadays Surat based industrialist are realising importance of upgrading their technologies to stay ahead in competition. We are also highlighting 50 mtr per minute digital printing machine by ATEXCO, which has already been booked and will be installed by March 2020. But that has not been displayed here. Our focus at the show is digital printing sublimation machine and we are displaying Kizashi and ATEXCO brands machine here.
The industry need to upgrade their plants for survival especially in embroidery segment as the technologies are getting updated in every six months. Same is also happening with digital because until three years back the technology which used to do 800 mtr per day was considered as heavy production machine and today the technology which does 2500 mtr per day looks less. Productivity is increasing. I believe 2020 shall be good.
Golden falcon started in 2001 by introducing embroidery machine, followed by cording & taping machine, sequin machine, chenille machine, high speed machine in later years. At this exhibition we have displayed 23 X 400 dual sequins, simple cording device with cutter super high speed machine. We see huge scope in digital textile printing so have also presented 3 head machine. The technology has various advantages like water saving, no pollution, allows short & fast production and one operator can handle 4 machines. We started doing exhibition in 2005 but that time it cost too high, in 2008 we joined association. Forming Surat Embroidery association gave us opportunity to raise our issues in front of govt.
Besides, our costing has also come down after SGCCI and SEA coming together to host this exhibition. Everyone’s feedback is really positive after seeing the show being professionally managed. This was the correct time to host this exhibition, and we hope next four months are going to be really good for embroidery, digital and weaving segments.
For last 15 years we have been selling embroidery machines. Currently, there are 1 lakh machine in Surat and more than 2 lakh all over India. Om Satya has installed more than 25,000 machines all over India. For 12 years we have sold Lejia machines, and this March we will be completing 1 year will Yumei machines. After coming up with Yuemei we don’t have to explain customer quality, as they know this brand. At this exhibition, we have highlighted our special Pantograph which has a very long life. Apart from this, we have displayed one side 6 sequin and on one side 3 colours beads. So you can run 12 colour sequins and 6 colour beads. Besides, we have kept sublimation printer on display here. Our association has done very good effort to make this show successful.
All our members especially Manohar Bhai has put all their efforts by showing unity and organising this show without any bias. Besides, SGCCI has also supported it very well. There is huge footfall of customers at the show. Now people in Surat are increasing their machines quantity and also updating their existing technologies. We hope 2020 to 2022 is going to be very good for Surat embroidery industry.
We have running KTL since 2004. We stared with embroidery thread and added embroidery machine in subsequent year. We have sold 22,000 machines till day and out of that 75 per cent is in Surat. Surat is the hub for embroidery and the kind of response we have got from our customers is better than our expectations. Two years ago we started making nonwoven bag making machine, which has been sold all over India. We are the first one to launch 1700 rpm machine that creates very less noise and runs continually. This will help customers in increasing their profits and bringing their costing down. We have been participating in exhibitions for last 15 years but this exhibition has given us extraordinary results.
Due to efforts of SEA, and its association with SGCCI, we have been successful in bringing everyone together at this exhibition, where everybody has got results. Next few years are expected to be very good for everyone in terms of bookings and business in this industry. To boost small scale business we have introduced paper straw machinery, which will help in providing selfemployment to a lot of people in India.
We have been into this value addition machinery industry for last 15 years. We started with embroidery then entered motif, transfer, fusing, stonefix, and many other segments. In embroidery, we have machines from basic to beads, high speed, sequins, taping, chenille machine etc. Other verticals we have entered is digital sublimation printing machines and inks, in weaving we have high speed airjet, rapier, waterjet, jacquard machines, and also have circular knitting machines. At SITME, we are displaying Double head double nozzle laser machine, Roll-to-roll stone fixing machine in two colours, rhine stone sticker machine, Stone mending machine, 1500 rpm High speed embroidery machine with motorised cutter, Crochet machine, etc.
SEA is one of India’s biggest associations of its segment, with 52 members that has organised this show taking into consideration our internal concerns, suggestions and to give us all maximum mileage. The show has been organised very well and got very encouraging response and witnessed 15,000 visitors on day-one itself.
We started selling imported inks 11 years back and later added machineries to it. Followed by developing inks and machines as per Indian customers’ requirements in China. We have sublimation inks, disperse inks, reactive inks, acid inks and pigment inks. We have created a supermarket for machines by offering customers all types of solutions. Here we have displayed a machine which is runs on pigment inks, along with 8 others machines. We cater to customers’ needs in all types of heads and speeds. Response at SITME has been amazing. This is their 3rd exhibition, they have grown and organised far better this year and supported the industry really well. I am expecting Surat to be a business hub in 2030 because you can find almost all industries here. Textile is something which will never end.
Surat market has huge scope and growth prospects. Application of digital printing is increasing nowadays in different types of fabrics and apparels. Printing on embroidery and embroidery on printing concept is growing.
We started our journey in 2006 with embroidery machines. We are pioneers of Khatli machine, and also sold rapier, jacquard, waterjet, dobbies, weaving units and yarn oriented machines. We have a textile machine showroom where we have kept 25 machines, which we keep on updating and give trainings also. We have launched world’s first machine based on artificial intelligence, called robotic handwork machine/ position embroidery machine. It scans the design, and you can select whichever handwork you want the machine to do. We also have embroidery four sequin machines called Magic 4 sequin machine, which reduces stitches to 25 percent, and Lowest rate guarantee machine where we have removed luxurious items, which are not used in an embroidery machine and saved the cost.
Response was absolutely fantabulous throughout the show. India is world’s next leading country in textiles, best part of this show is that we have not given anybody a single sq ft extra, hence space allotment is same for everyone, so instead of showing power people are showing the technologies. Customers and exhibitors are very excited for the show.
We represent Maya embroidery machine brand and FZY value addition machines. We have two main markets Surat and South India. In Surat we only focus on embroidery and value addition machines, in South of India, circular knitting machine, flat knitting machines, screen printing machines and digital printing. Here, we are displaying 1500 rpm machine and four sequins machine.
This is for the 1st time we are also introducing two colour stone machines from FZY. This is the best exhibition our company has participated in till day. We are really thankful to SGCCI and SEA, the way they have organised and promoted this show. Timing and footfall of the show is perfect.
We are very optimistic and hope every year such show is organised. We will participate in next exhibition for sure.
We started Sinsim’s journey in 2005, and have sold around 20,000 machines till day. We have recently launched NXC series1800 rpm high speed embroidery machine. At this show, we have displayed dual sequins device which can be used in all needles and threads. Also we have launched auto bobbin changer robotic, hot fixing sequin machine from Korea. SITME is a successful exhibition where we had large number of customers visiting our stall with serious potential enquiries. We want the organiser ‘SEA’ to keep on organising it every year by focusing exclusively on this segment only like current edition.
As it is only for our industry so we get focused visitors and customers also know what they can expect from the show. For Surat embroidery industry, 2020 is going to be better than 2019 for sure. As a company we are aiming to grow 25 percent more this year.
The company was started in 2011. We introduced sublimation printers and have installed more than 2000 printers all over India. Then we started working with Konica Minolta printers and Atexco high speed sublimation printers also. At this show we have displayed 4 head sublimation printer, which does 1800 mtr production and 8 Kyocera print heads sublimation printer for the 1st time in India. Besides, Konica Minolta printers have also been displayed here which can handle 20 gsm paper. The show has been organised beautifully by SEA. There wasa lot of customer footfall throughout the show, as we were busy.
The Association has done commendable job, organised the show very well which is really good for the industry. Surat market is going for volumes so we expect this market to replace conventional in next five years. However, direct printing will always have a scope and or polyester sublimation will always be there. Digital has a very bright future ahead.
We started with digital and in last 10 years we have added a lot in our portfolio like sublimation, direct digital printers and pigment printers. We are representing MS in digital and having 50 percent market share in industrial high speed printing. Recently, we started with Colorix for entry level printer and sublimation printer. In sublimation, we are catering to high end customers. In last one year we have sold more than 1,000 machines and each machine can print 3,000 to 4,000 mtr per day. As far as market is concerned, 2019 first half was very slow, since September we are seeing a good boom coming in. Going further in 2020 we are very optimistic.
Recently, we launched Mini Lario is India which can print 20,000 mtr in scanning mode. This is my first participation in this exhibition and I was not expecting this in terms of flow as the show has really surpassed my expectations in terms of buyers’ footfall. I am really satisfied with the number of quality people who have come to our booth. We have maintained 30 percent growth every year so expect to repeat the same in 2020.
Dolphin was started in 2003 end but we started working with Promaker in 2017. The brand comes from Yulong Group which is a wellknown company. The technology is very advanced, so we are getting more business day-by-day due to customers positive response.
Here, we are displaying four machines; firstly 36,250 with beads, dual sequins and cording, secondly 1600 rpm machine which can run regularly at 1500 and many more.
In last two months, the slowdown created due to demonetisation and GST has ended, hence customers are doing well. We are expecting good orders in future.
The show is completely well panned, stalls are of same size so everyone’s money is saved, which shows our strength as an association.
Shradhdha Technologies manufactures textile printing machines and sublimation and reactive inks. Earlier, we were importing machines but now are manufacturing sublimation and direct printer with Konica Minolta head. Soon we are going to launch real 8 head Epson high speed printer. Major advantage to customer is cost and quality. As far as inks are concerned we are working in a joint venture with a Chinese company. Our inks consumption is less than others available in the market.
Digital has very bright future ahead due to saving of water, less pollution and n number of print design options. We have been participating in various exhibitions for last so many years but the kind of visitor footfall we have received here is what we always wanted.
This exhibition has begun 2020 very well for everyone, so we expect the scenario continues throughout the year.
Ours is a 15 years old brand, where we are dealing with four types of products. We sell Promaker embroidery machines, KTI digital printing machineries, Wellknit Circular Knitting Machine, Split Warping machines. Our four different products are from best Chinese and Taiwanese brands. Nowadays, everybody in Surat is upgrading its machineries. In KTI we have introduced 3 head sublimation machines, where customer can get 1,600 mtr per day production. We have introduced 6 head machine that can produce 4,000 mtr per day.
We are also dealing in Konica Minolta direct printing machines. The response at the exhibition is very nice; huge footfall and it’s going fantastic here. In last two years, there were a lot of policy changes by the govt., due to which textile industry was not doing very good. We expect this year to be very good for embroidery, digital, basically all the segments.
Since 2007 we have been importing embroidery machines, and day-by-day adding value added machineries to our offerings. Here, we are displaying Surat’s first hotfix machine with 1200 mm width stone. The technology got very good response.
We have also displayed zipper making machines and our existing embroidery machine range. Response at the exhibition is really good, visitors were of good quality.
The show has been jointly organised by SEA and SGCCI, which has created good interest among the customers. Surat market is emerging, though it was slow for sometime but it is hopeful of getting improved in 2020.
We started Maatri company in June 2019, but have been associated with Lejia for last 12 years. It is among Zuji’s top 10 factories making very good quality machine. We have sold 80 machines in last six months. At this exhibition, we have displayed Super Ultra high speed machine with 1500 rpm, and another 8 sequins machine. SEA and SGCCI have done a very job by organising this show and taking everyone together forward. I am 100 percent going to participate in the next exhibition.
This year it’s going to be very good for Surat industry, especially value additions are expected to do well. We are working with Maatri in Jaipur and Surat, which will be expanded in future.
Besides, Lejia people have always supported us, taken our suggestions seriously and upgraded the machines accordingly.
We are working in embroidery segment and have sold around 225 machines in last two years. SITME has been organised very well by SEA and SGCCI. We have received very good footfall and enquiries which we are expecting to get converted into orders in near future. Only serious buyers who are interested in starting business, want to invest in machines, and those existing customers who want to upgrade their existing set-ups are visiting the show. We represent Tang Jingwei brand all over India and look after their after sales service also. We want to provide best technology and service to customers always.
Here we have displayed two machines 35X250 and 23X400, both have double sequins and cording. Last year, we launched its high speed 1500 rpm machine but now 1200 rpm as per Surat market needs. SEA has done a good job, they brought everyone together, allotted stall on the basis of lottery system and that too of same size. SITME is expected to perform better year by year.
We have been associated with our Chinese principal since 2004. Our brand Sheen has always maintained its quality and given proper support to customers. Apart from embroidery, we are doing digital sublimation business also. We have just started but may add direct printing after a year. Here we are displaying 3 embroidery and one sublimation printing machines. First machine has 27 head multi head machine with 250 mm head distance, second us 27 head 250 mm distance with twin sequins device, third is 9 needle, 18 head in one machine which can do flat embroidery, twin sequins and cording work.
Customers were really impressed by seeing three beads device work. At this show, we are meeting only quality customers who are clear about the machine they want to buy. After seeing lots of ups and downs in last three years, Surat market is expected to take a big leap in 2020.
We started our business in 15 years ago and since than we are associated with only one brand i.e. Yuemei. We sell embroidery machine and everything related to this segment from top class Chinese brand. Owners of the Yuemei brand have good technology experience which is the reason they are involved in development and upgradation of technologies directly.
The ups and downs phase which Surat was witnessing for last few years is going to end, and in 2020 embroidery is going to be the top trend. At this show we are displaying technologies which are Chinese but quality wise similar to Japanese.
This is the best exhibition in last 5 years in terms of response. It has been organised really well. SEA and SGGCi have maintained the equality at the show.
We have been working and catering to markets all over India since 2012. We deal in embroidery machinery spares from China. We are their dealers for all India market, and the product is completely made in China. We started with BZBS and later added Siliconi, Groz Beckert, Koban, Boss bearing, and many others. We have recently taken dealership of Champion Company devices, which are added to machinery and are getting very good response from the industry. The kind of response we have received in this exhibition is something never seen before. From day one to last day there was no reduction in crowd. The hard work done by SEA and SGCCI members has paid off.
We are really thankful and convey our best regards to them for organising such event. The show has been organised at a time which is the peak time of boosting the growth of Surat industry. This year, we will focus on introducing more devices as per the changing requirement of high speed embroidery machines in terms of quality.
Our factory was founded in 1989. We started embroidery machine in 2002 and came to Surat in 2004.In last 15 years, we are among the biggest embroidery machine factory in China. And we also support them by supplying high quality machine to Surat market to help our customers win the business. Lejia is a big brand in China making high quality, high speed machines. World’s longest 25 head machine has been made by Lejia. So, we have very good technology team. Surat market is very important for us.
We have two agents Maatri and Shivarya Textile. SITME has become the hottest exhibition for our company in last three years. Last year market was a little slow, but the show has given a good start to the year now. The exhibition has been organised by Surat embroidery association, especially for embroidery customers.
For last 15 years we are working in this industry. We got associated with Lejia company for embroidery machines seven months ago. They are giving us best quality to compete in this market. We are getting very good feedback from customers about their products. We got so many enquiries which will be materialised after the show. Here we are displaying 1500 rpm machine which has auto oiling system, spray system on shuttle, separate pressure foot system on head. The machine is nonstop running on 1500 rpm for last three days which no other machine in the show is doing.
The response in fantastic, we have not seen such huge response in any other exhibition till day. Due to efforts of SGCCI and SEA, this has become India’s most successful exhibition.2020 is going to be very good for Surat industry, and those who will keep on updating their technologies and follow latest trend will have a promising future ahead.

We started cooperation with them since 2009 and have maintained good relation with them. Since 2006 this is the best exhibition till day. We are more comfortable with SEA in organising this show.
Management, visitor quality, oragnisation, support, promotion everything is upto the mark. 2019 was an average year for all the industries and I expect 2020 is going to a very booming year for textile industry all over India.
According to our customers’ feedback, January is the most important month as in coming year the market is expected to grow. Earlier exhibitions were normally organised between Feb to April, which used to be followed by downtrend in industry but SITME has been organised at a perfect time.
Everybody wants to invest in something new, and at the time when market also grows along with the same, it is like icing on the cake.SEA and SGCCI have put all their efforts and team hard work, which together has made it a successful show.
