The State Government will support the proposed textile unit of Sutlej Textiles & Industries at the industrial estate in Badanaguppe and Kallambahalli villages in Chamarajanagar district, Industries Minister KJ George said. The new unit will be set-up with an investment of Rs. 786 cr, and is one of the many new units coming up in the district. The Minister said that Sutlej Textiles will manufacture sportswear in the 46 acres of land allotted to it. The company is expected to provide jobs to 1,800 persons. The Minister, who also holds charge of the Sugar, Information Technology and Biotechnology and Science and Technology portfolios visited the industrial estate being Biotechnology, and Science and Technology portfolios, visited the industrial estate being established by the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board. The estate will be spread across 1460 acres.
