Thiru. M. K. Stalin, Hon’ble Chief Minister unveiled the Tamil Nadu Export Promotion Policy at the Export Conclave held on today in Chennai. In a press release released recently, Shri. Raja M. Shanmugham, President said he welcomed the releasing of Tamil Nadu Export Promotion Policy, a long requisition of the Association and was confident that the policy would help to reach the Tamil Nadu Exports target of USD 100 Billion by 2030 from the current level of USD 30.53 Billion.
Shri. Raja M Shanmugham said Textiles & Textile Articles (Chapter 50 to 63) Export Contribution from Tamil Nadu is USD 7.38 Billion and out of this, Tirupur Knitwear Garment Export Contribution is USD 4.0 Billion.
After hailing the schemes formulated to provide special package incentives to encourage manufacturing of value-added products, Shri. Raja M. Shanmugham pointed out that this scheme would be increasingly beneficial to Tirupur Knitwear Exporting Units.
He said that the strengthening export related common infrastructure projects in the Export Hubs and reimbursement of 25% of the project cost, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 10 Crore per Export Hub which would also be beneficial to Tirupur Cluster.
