Raja M Shanmugham, President said he has sent thanks letter to the Hon’ble Chief Minister for conceding the requisition of the Association and providing exemption from generation of E-way bill for jobwork and services relating to yarn, fabrics and garments and welcomed the initiative for clear understanding of the Tirupur knitwear business.
Raja M Shanmugham said Tirupur knitwear cluster has grown up to this level and producing Rs. 42,000 cr worth of garments annually because of the crucial support extended by the job working units and he pointed out that before garment is packed, for preliminary process like knitting, dyeing, compacting, embroidery, printing, checking, ironing and packing etc., the product is transported from one place to another place for at least for five / six occasions.
While noting down the future prospects of Tirupur knitwear cluster and hassle free of doing business, he said it would help to boost and growth momentum for the Tirupur cluster. He said thanks letters have also sent to Thiru. KC Veeramani, Hon’ble Minister of Commercial Taxes and Dr. TV Somanathan IAS., Principal Secretary / Commissioner of State Tax for their support in this positive initiative.
