TEXPROCIL – The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council organised a seminar on “Awareness on Export Promotion Mission (EPM) Schemes for Textile Exporters”, providing an important platform for textile exporters to understand Government initiatives aimed at strengthening export competitiveness and market access.
The programme was graced by Shri R.K. Mishra Ji, Additional DGFT, Mumbai, whose presence enabled valuable interaction between the Government and the textile exporting community.
Shri Vijay Agarwal, Chairman, TEXPROCIL, gave the welcome address highlighting the growing importance of market access, competitiveness, financing, compliance and international standards for Indian textile exporters. He emphasised the relevance of the Export Promotion Mission framework, including Niryat Protsahan and Niryat Disha, in supporting exporters.
Dr. Siddhartha Rajagopal, Executive Director, TEXPROCIL, moderated the session and featured valuable insights from Mr. Mihir Ajit Shah, Partner, Universal Connections LLP.
The session covered key aspects of the EPM framework, including Niryat Protsahan, Niryat Disha, Interest Equalisation Scheme, Market Access Support (MAS) and TRACE, with emphasis on eligibility, documentation, timelines and compliance requirements.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Shri Ravi Sam, Vice Chairman, TEXPROCIL, who expressed appreciation to the Chief Guest, Chairman, faculty, exporters, industry representatives and the TEXPROCIL team for their valuable participation and contribution.
TEXPROCIL continues its efforts to bridge the gap between Government policy and the practical needs of exporters, while facilitating greater awareness of export promotion schemes, trade policies, market access opportunities and compliance requirements. The seminar was followed by TEXPROCIL’s 72nd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
