The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Pantone. A special seminar on the topic ‘Color Precision in Fashion and Textile: Leveraging Pantone Tools for Textile Innovation’ was organized at Ushakant Marfatiya Hall, Sarsana, Surat, on January 9, 2026, at 5:00 pm. Chamber Vice President Mr. Ashok Jirawala said in the welcome address that “color combination” is a word woven with life. The profound knowledge behind color will be learned from this seminar, which will benefit the textile industry.
Keynote speaker Mr. Sam Shalgaonkar of South Asia of Pantone gave a detailed presentation about Pantone’s FHI system and advanced digital tools. He explained how these tools can maintain integrity and accuracy in colors, from design concept to production. He said we do programs in metro cities like Mumbai. The tire 2 cities has started from Surat. Big brands use color effectively and attract customers through the language of colors. Colors have special importance in the textile industry.
He explained the use of various tools of Pantone, guiding the challenges and solutions against color managing. An interesting quiz was held at the end of the seminar, and a questionnaire session was also organized for attending entrepreneurs and dyeing masters, in which Shri Shalgaonkar answered various questions related to the present trends of colors.
Chairman of the Chamber Textile Task Force and former Chamber President Mr. Ashish Gujarati informed about the program that specific color management is essential for Surat’s textile industry to survive global competition.
The program was concluded by a giving-thanks message by Mr. Manish Bajrang, a member of the Chamber Textile Task Force. Chamber’s All Exhibition Chairman Mr. Kiran Thumar was also present on this occasion.
