The third largest trading partner of Bangladesh, the United Kingdom is interested to invest in the recycling initiatives of the Bangladesh Readymade Garment (RMG) sector.
Reports claimed this adding United Kingdom Investment Minister Lord Dominic Johnson has expressed interest in this regard during a recent meeting with Salman F Rahman in London, who is the Private Sector Industry and Investment Adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
During the meeting, Lord Dominic Johnson reportedly appreciated the tremendous economic and social development of Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina even as he expressed hope for more multidimensional and expanding business-trade and industrial-investment relations between the two countries while Salman F Rahman, in his speech, reportedly urged the UK to invest more in Bangladesh’s environment-friendly sectors, including the recycling industry.
