FBB – India’s leading fashion destination announced its association with world’s most renowned elastane brand – LYCRA® recently to strengthen its fashion offering to Indian consumers. With this collaboration, FBB will enrich its products with better stretch and soft fabric by providing fashionable garments made with fine and extremely lightweight LYCRA® fibre.

To Celebrate this partnership, both FBB and INVISTA got together for two starstudded events in Ambiance Mall, Gurugram and Infiniti Mall, Mumbai on 11th May and 28th April, 2018 respectively. This high profile partnership was kicked off by none other than leading Bollywood celebrities, Vidyut Jammwal & Esha Gupta along with the leadership team of both the partners including Rakesh Biyani, Joint MD, Future Retail Limited & Rajesh Seth, COO FBB and Julien Born, EVP, INVISTA Apparel & Advance Textiles Business & Rebecca.Y.LI , Commercial director, ROA, INVISTA Apparel & Advance Textile Business.
With the theme ‘Bounce with LYCRA® brand’, and a trampoline setup on the ramp, models demonstrated various moves during the vibrant fashion show, highlighting the amazing stretch and comfort of the newly cut FBB collection infused with LYCRA® fiber. Event also had a special performance by a leading dance group and biking crew further taking stretch of FBB garments made with LYCRA® fiber to entirely next level.
While speaking at the event Rajesh Seth, COO, FBB, said, “FBB is being a pioneer in fashion. We are doing everything to make fashion more affordable for our customers. Starting from design of the new clutches, now lot of stretch is coming from denim, so it’s a big trend from low stretch, high stretch to double and single stretches. On top of that LYCRA® is a global brand so has very good consumer recognition and preference. Commenting on the Indian market she said, “This is a fast growing region, especially when it comes to purchasing capabilities and manufacturing base of textile, from both directions it’s giving very good business to us. In India we see good future because the country has huge population which is our potential customers. As far as biggest markets for Lycra are concerned, considering the consumer base and purchasing power it’s still the Western countries. E.g. Europe and the US are still very big consumption market. In terms of emerging markets China is very good market followed by India for us.”
