The 14th annual Bangladesh Denim Expo, with the theme “Innovator,” opened on Tuesday, May 16, at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the country’s capital organized by Denim Expert Ltd. The Bangladeshi denim industry’s growth, innovation, sustainability, and responsibility were highlighted during the two-day Denim Expo, which also served to entice buyers and highlight the possibilities of this business.
90 domestic and international businesses attended this year’s expo. The exhibition features a variety of products, including textiles, ready-made clothing, threads, parts, and processing materials.
The majority of Bangladesh’s exports to the United States and the European Union are denim-related products. In addition to showing off the items, the exhibition offers four seminar sessions and four panel discussions on the theme of Innovators to draw in customers. On May 16 in the afternoon, a symposium on the future of denim was organized.
Affluent purchasers, makers (both of denim fabric and accessories), and dealers were happy as large crowds of attendees flocked to the exhibitor stalls to view innovative, fashionable, and sustainable denim items.
Mostafiz Uddin, Managing Director of Denim Expert Limited, established the Bangladesh Denim Exhibition with the intention of turning Bangladesh into a sourcing hub by bringing together multinational corporations, expanding corporate opportunities for the entire denim value chain, and enhancing the country’s reputation abroad.
“The expo is organized with the aim of meeting the needs of the international denim community, creating opportunities for communication with potential buyers and innovating new products”, he said.
“We are amazed by the overwhelming response from the visitors and exhibitors around the world because this is a fantastic platform for connection and networking,” Mustafiz Uddin remarked.
He asserted that the Bangladesh Denim Expo, which debuted in 2014, played a significant role in the country’s growth as the leading exporter of denim to both the EU and the USA.
Mustafiz Uddin claims that Bangladesh Denim Expo has developed into one of the most exclusive and educational branding events in the denim industry thanks to the participation of over 1,000 companies, more than 500 exhibitors, and more than 50,000 visitors from more than 50 countries during the course of its protracted voyage.
According to Mostafiz Uddin, the creator of Bangladesh Denim Expo, the expo has brought significant denim players from all over the world under one roof.
The two-day Bangladesh Denim Expo is coming to an end on, May 17, at the capital’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
