Jilin Chemical Fiber Group of China, for the first time in India, organised Bamboo Forum Meet in association with its main channel partner AR Corporation on 4th April, 2019 at The Gateway hotel, Surat, Gujarat. AR Corporation is a joint venture of Agarwal & Ruwala Group dealing in viscose filament yarn made from bamboo pulp imported from JLFIBER Group of Companies, China. AR Corporation Group is engaged in yarn business from past 5 decades. The firm has a very high reputation and recognition as a leading and reliable supplier of textile yarns in the market.

“Skin is the largest organ of the human body, all precautions start from the skin. Protecting the skin starts from the raw materials. The yarn it supplies is made from bamboo pulp obtained from the wild bamboo forest in China. It has a sustainable raw material supply. The fibre’s natural cellulose guarantees excellent comfort and feels fabulous the whole day. The above features and advantages of bamboo viscose filament yarn were highlighted to large number of weavers at the event. This included several people and companies already using bamboo viscose filament yarn and also manufacturers of other types of fabrics like Bemberg, Polyster and Nylon. At this event, AR Corporation had created a fabric swatches and yarn display area where variety of fabrics and yarn of different denier made from bamboo viscose were presented displaying cone size upto 4.30 kgs in CSP yarn for 1st time in India.

The event began with traditional candle lighting ceremony being performed by Pradeep Agarwal and Jitesh Ruwala from AR Corporation along with Song Dewu (President), Wei Quan Dong (Production Manager), Wang Yangang (International Marketing Manager) of JILIN Fiber. Then Jitesh Ruwala gave a warm welcome note by welcoming all dignitaries of Jilin Group from China, customers, channel partners and Agarwal Ruwala family members to the first Bamboo Forum Meet held in India. Then Ishan Umaria from AR Corporation introduced AR Corporation Group, their association with JILIN Fiber and thanked all the customers for their support and promised better services in future. “With our hardwork and persistence we have established stability between demand and supply of raw material to our consumers. This has been made possible due to our esteemed relations with supplier and consumers,” said Ishan.

While speaking during the event, Wang – International Marketing Head of JILIN Fiber said, “India is a very important market, which is growing very fast in bamboo viscose. AR Corporation is a bridge between Indian market and our company. They have promoted JILIN very well in India and our company is committed to the customers here. Surat is a very important and big market, and we are looking forward for further growth here. Apart from India our other important markets are Turkey and Japan.”

This was followed by a PPT presentation by Wei – Production Manager, highlighting more about the company production facilities and quality parameters to produce best yarn. In this presentation, he said that Jilin is the world’s largest producer of bamboo viscose doing – 65,000 tonne per year, 38,000 tonne acrylic fibre and 18,000 tonne carbon fibre. Today, China is the biggest source of bamboo fibre in world as it has 70 lakh hectare of bamboo forest.

He also said that Bamboo viscose has multiple uses and is in good demand for menswear, womenswear, kids wear, nonwoven and home textiles. JILIN Fiber has a very sustainable production process at its factories for which it has received certification from SGS, Oeko-tex, Oeko STEP, ZDHC, REACH, and many more. He also told that before organising the Bamboo conference their team has already spend one week in Surat meeting its existing weavers to understand their needs and problems.

We have worked with Japanese and German companies who whave helped us to have best quality production system. We have 30 per cent export market share in the world of viscose filament. We have a very stable quality and our production efficiency is minimum 3 per cent higher than other manufacturers.

“After sales service is very important for us and to promote bamboo, we have been participating in leading trade fairs in China, Europe and other countries, around the world. Product development is continuous process and we have also introduced many new products like colour yarn in 12 colours and maximum cone size of 6 kg.”

“Bamboo viscose is being used in place of silk. As silk production is reducing and is expensive hence this is a right replacement for silk. We are continuously improving the quality and our business is also growing as viscose filament isenvironment friendly. Bamboo viscose can be blended with polyester nylon and other fibres. We are also planning to increase the production capacity to 1 lakh tonne,” said Song Dewu.

About the 1st Bamboo Forum meet in Surat he said, “I am honoured to be here and happy to meet new and old customers from Surat, which is a very big market for bamboo viscose filament yarn. I interacted with many customers and some of them are very old in the industry. I would also like to thank our main channel partner- AR Corporation for the co-operation and transparency in business.”
