China International Sewing Machinery & Accessories Show 2023 (CISMA 2023) was held for four days from September 25-28, occupying a total of 13 halls of the Shanghai New International Expo Center, with a record-breaking 141,000 square meters of total exhibition space. It was world’s first large-scale international sewing equipment exhibition held in the post-epidemic era.
The opening ceremony took place with nearly more than 100 attendees, including Yang Xiaojing, Chairman of China Sewing Machinery Association (CSMA), He Ye, Honorary Chairman of CSMA, Shinsuke Uchihashi, Chairman of Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association (JASMA), Elgar Straub, Managing Director of VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies.
On-site guests and visitors watched the theme video of CISMA 2023. Xiaojing and Ms. He unveiled the new logo for the exhibition, releasing the new potential energy of CISMA with the core elements of intelligent service, innovation and empowerment, synergistic service and development assistance.
In his opening speech, on behalf of the Association, Xiaojing expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the leaders at all levels and Chinese and foreign friends who came to the exhibition. He stated that CISMA2023 is an open, fruitful, and win-win exhibition that plays an important role in boosting confidence, cohesion, and accelerating recovery of the world sewing machinery industry. The exhibition comprehensively exhibits intelligent sewing technology and digitalization of the whole set of solutions for the world’s textile and apparel, leather bags, home furnishings, automotive and aviation and other equipment users.
After the ceremony, the leaders and guests joined a tour of the exhibition venue, experiencing the marvelous fusion of technology and sewing, as well as the wonderful switch between digital and reality in the intelligent sewing scene.
On the first day, CISMA 2023 Overseas Strategic Distributor Award Ceremony was held, attended by more than 40 overseas distributors from more than 20 countries and regions in five continents, as well as more than 100 representatives of domestic sewing machinery production, trade and commerce. The selected overseas strategic distributors received awarded medals from the organizer.
On behalf of the organizers, Xiaojing expressed his warm welcome to the overseas strategic distributors who affirmed the prominent position and role of overseas strategic distributors in the development of the world’s sewing machinery industry. He stated that a number of overseas strategic dealers with strong international influence and years of continuous participation in CISMA stood out in the selection, which strongly demonstrated the international influence and cohesion of CISMA. He continued that the success of the exhibition would boost the confidence of the global sewing machinery industry and promote the prosperity of the global sewing machinery industry.
Azeez, Managing Director of India Agencies (Regd) from India, and Paweł Broński, CEO of Strima Sp. Z o.o. from Poland, delivered enthusiastic speeches on behalf of the overseas dealers, introducing the new experience of exhibiting after a four-year break.
During CISMA 2023, there were also high-level forums such as International Cooperation and Development Forum and Sewing Machine Technology Innovation and Development Forum, gathering elite professionals from the global sewing machine industry to exchange ideas, create value, and promote industry development.
Overseas Strategic Distributors Award
In order to further leverage the communication and demonstration role of overseas strategic distributors of China International Sewing Machinery Exhibition (CISMA) and attract more attention and sustained participation from overseas customers, consolidate and enhance the brand influence of CISMA as the world’s leading professional exhibition, and promote the establishment of a new pattern of dual-cycle development in the sewing machinery industry, the CISMA 2023 organizing committee launched the “CISMA 2023 Overseas Strategic Distributors” selection and commendation activity in May 2023.
