Exhibitors’ Comments…
We’ve been in this business since 1996, beginning with powerloom and progressing to water jet and air jet. We are mainly manufacturing export-quality grey fabric. Our buyers are all known brands like Zara, H& M, and many more. From the very beginning, we have been thinking that we should make good fabric for the market. We are the leading company and our company has a very good name. Our main buyers are in Delhi. In this industry, demand is always changing. People need new things on a daily basis. We have 3 firms, all of which make 20 lakh metres of fabric per month. We do both export and domestic business. Now, as we make grey fabric, our plan is to make RFD white fabric.
We’ve always participated ever sincethe Weaveknitt started. The response to the show was very good. Buyers came from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, and Dubai also. The organizers, SGCCI, do a very good job. For companies like us, there has been a lot of support from the members of the association. I am sure Surat will go ahead in the next 5 years in the garment industry. A lot of the garment factories have started and will further grow in Surat.

We have experience of more than 20 years. We are mainly manufacturing grey fabrics, catering to all the different industries like garment, sarees, technical textiles. We also manufacture Jacquard fabrics, value added fabrics but mainly do polyester nylon, polyester viscose and polyester spun etc. Our mainly targeted customers are the fabric exporters and fabric traders. Our manufacturing capacity is 45 lakh metres per month. We have 450 water looms all in Surat.
We are participating for the first time; the response of the show is good for us. We will continue to participate in this exhibition. We got a good inquiry in this exhibition.
We are pleased with the saree business we have received, but given the current situation, people are less likely to wear sarees these days, there is a decline in saree fabric and sarees are not in fashion. Things like western wear and kurties are now in trend. Now, our target is to directly cater to the garment manufacturer.
We are manufacturing all kind of knitting fabrics since 2001. We are a leading manufacturer, exporter and supplier of warp knit and Circular knit fabrics like Single and Double jersey plain fabrics, Single and Double Jersey Jacquard fabrics, Terry Jacquard fabrics, Needle Terry Jacquard fabrics, laminated fabrics for sportswear, intimate apparel, furnishing and technical textile. Our capacity is 50-lakh meter per month.
The exhibition is good, and the response has been good for us too. The main visitors came from Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi, and Bangalore. We are participating for the second time in this exhibition, the number of visitors is a little higher than last year. The investment trends in knitting have started in Surat for many years now. It has been in the nature of Surat that if any industry comes to Surat, they become the leaders. Everything from yarn to all other things is available in Surat. In the future, knitting will increase in Surat.
We are manufacturing water jet polyester grey fabric and apart from this we are also in warp knitting, rassel and digital printing fabrics. It’s a 25 year old company making fabrics for different applications like sarees, garments, home furnishing and technical textile. We are regularly doing R&D to develop new fabrics. We also have some unique fabrics, which no one can copy because we have the monopolized yarn. The fabric has the looks and feel of viscose real rayon, however, it is 100 percent polyester and it is known as Sahi Rayon in the market.
We participated second time in Weaveknitt exhibition, the response of the show was overwhelming for us, we got to interact with new customers, some outside customers and it was actually a good opportunity to showcase all your samples, fabrics and to meet entire community of weavers and knitter at a common place with all the clients, people in the further chain of the textile. We do have local buyers as well as buyers from Delhi, Ahemdabad, and Bangalore.
It’s been 30 years since the company was started. For over 10 years, we have been manufacturing knitted fabric. We have a wide range of knit fabrics for Menswear, Womenswear, and Childrenswear. Now Surat has biggest capacity in polyester knitting. With the speed at which Surat is growing, I don’t think any other city will grow as fast.
We have all types of fabric ranges like synethic, cotton, PV based viscose, rayon. We are also in jacquard, and digital print. Our capacity is 300 tonnes per month. Our majority of production is in finished fabric and we have reduced capacity in grey.
For us the exhibition is okay; not so good not so bad. Visitors are few but otherwise the exhibition was good. Visitors from all over India came to this exhibition. Now there are exhibitions happening everywhere, hence some dates are clashing, so the footfall has been reduced because of this. Such kinds of exhibitions should be organised so that people know what the new developments are. It is very important to develop new products from time to time.
We started the company in the year 2014. We manufacture all kinds of knitting fabrics in cotton and polyester for night suit, track pants, leggings / jeggings and other knitting garments. With a legacy of more than 70-years, we are committed to the business values and ethics in every product we produce, ensuring the benefits of all our customers. We have our ability in viscose and cotton, and we’re also into cotton blends with viscose and linen. And now we have come into knitting also. We have 258 looms and our turnover is above 800 cr. Delhi and Mumbai markets are very good for us.
We have participated in this exhibition in Surat for the first time. We are really happy to be here, but wanted to know what kind of inquiries come from the Surat industry. People were not aware that even a person from Erode could put up an exhibition here, but people have shown a lot of interest in our fabrics.
Surat is a synthetic-based market, but all of these knit fabrics, such as value-added fabrics with modal, tencel, and all other blends, are currently in high demand. People love to see all these fabrics in Surat. Here, people are using fabrics other than synthetic fabric in garments and kurtis.
We started in 2014; we make mainly black Burkhas and Nidas fabric. All these are exported to Dubai. We also manufacture garments like menswear, womenswear, kidswear, kurtis, and kaftans. We are selling garments all over India. We mainly manufacture value-added fabrics. Our specialty fabric is jerry fabric in weaving. We also have printed fabric, dyed fabric, and plain fabrics. We make 30 to 40 colours of each fabric. We have a fabric called Abaya fabric. It is a very soft and smooth fabric. If it is hot outside, this fabric cools from the inside. This is a different kind of polyester yarn fabric. This yarn is not manufactured in India. It is mainly imported from Indonesia to India. We are in both export and import.
We are participating for the first time in Weaveknitt. The show is very good for us. We have received a lot of orders and inquires. I have got orders for exports also. At this exhibition, visitors came from outside India, like Dubai. We will continue to participate in this exhibition in the future also. Now Surat is moving ahead in every industry. Upgradation is also widely happening in Surat. People have installed new machines in weaving, dyeing and processing.
We are manufacturers of fabrics like fancy fabric in viscose, nylon and fabric for sarees. We have fabric for kurtas and shervani also. In our knitting division, we also manufacture knit fabric for leggings and kidswear. We have almost all kind of fabrics.
The response to the exhibition is very good compared to the last edition. We got new buyers. It was very well organised by the chamber. Many players are missing in this exhibition, but in the next edition, I am sure many more companies will participate, and it will be a bigger show.
We started our Spinning Weaving Mill in early 2018. We haverapier looms machines and jacquard weaving machines in which we make ethnic wear fabric. The future of the ethnic wear industry is very good, so our target is to make fabric for kurtas. Right now, we are manufacturing polyester segment fabric, but we are also planning to go for Viscose and Cotton blends. We have 28 looms and our capacity is 2 lakh metres per month. We have also invested in knitting machine to make knitted fabric.
Response of the show was very good for us. When you meet different customers, you get to know the new requirements and trends of the industry. It has given good platform for the local manufactures.
We deal with pure viscose fabric like sarees, dupattas, tops, dresses, kurtas, and laces. We have done many exhibitions in the field of textile machines. As you all know, Signature is a well-known brand in textile machinery. Now we are in textile fabric also, making quality fabrics only.
This time the response to the exhibition was very positive. There are many good customers and we got very genuine enquiries. We also participated in the first edition of WeaveKnitt, but in this edition quality of the visitors were very good. It was organized very well by the organisers- SGCCI. The weaving industry has also improved a lot in last 5 years. Now industry is investing in new technology.
