Five Point Five, a brand that revolves around the iconic Indian sari and draws its name from the traditional length of this exquisite garment, has captivated audiences with its exceptional product line. The brand’s journey began with a vision to bring India’s magnificent textile heritage under one roof, commencing its adventure in the ancient city of Varanasi, often regarded as one of the world’s oldest living cities.

In Benaras, Five Point Five collaborated with local weavers to curate a stunning collection featuring silk, chanderi, georgette, kora, and tissue weaves. This initial success of 2 collections from Benaras propelled the brand forward to the vibrant ‘City of Joy,’ Kolkata. Here, Five Point Five celebrated the festive spirit with its ‘Hoichoi’ collection launched recently, capturing the essence of excitement, happiness, and jubilation during festivals in India. This collection introduced a wide array of saris in cotton, linen, tussar silk, among others, exploring the local jamdani weave of Kolkata along-with various textures and surface designs.

Since its inception, Five Point Five has made multiple endeavors to showcase its collections through various channels, including designer marketplace, digital/social media platforms, and both domestic & international exhibitions. Notably, the brand’s first exhibition was held in Doha (Qatar), as a private viewing that resonated with the Indian community abroad. Recently, Five Point Five proudly displayed its collection at the Embassy of Belgium in New Delhi, where H.E. Mr Didier Anna L. Vanderhasselt hosted the NGO Akshya Pratisthan’s annual Diwali ‘Festa of Lights’ exhibition, offering visitors a deeper understanding of the brand’s unique offerings.

The brand has also embraced local roots, showcasing its collection in the founder’s hometown, Patiala, in collaboration with the renowned local label Akriti by Ritika. Furthermore, Five Point Five has gained recognition on exclusive multi-designer platforms like Aza, Ogaan, Ensemble, and Fuel. The brand’s goal is not only to present its products to a broader audience but also to unite the country’s sari enthusiasts on a single platform. The concept of ‘Sari on Wheels’ has been warmly received, reminiscent of the old-time ‘pheriwalas’ who used to bring their sari collections directly to homes. Five Point Five continues this tradition, offering a premium collection right at your doorstep. The handpicked curated trunk of saris is a collection of exclusive handwoven pieces personally selected by the founders of Five Point Five from the skilled weavers themselves.

Join Five Point Five on a journey through India’s rich textile heritage and experience the magic of the Sari.
