Four new organisations have become contributors to the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme which works to replace hazardous chemicals with safer ones in textiles and clothing production. Two denim companies, Advance Denim and Candiani Denim, join ZDHC’s textile industry category, while ToxServices LLC joins as a solution provider, and the Consorzio Conciatori di Ponte a Egola joins as an associate.
“We are very excited to welcome four new ZDHC Contributors,” ZDHC announced in a statement.
“These four outstanding organisations will help and support the ZDHC community and our mission. We are looking forward to working alongside them.”
Advance Denim is one of the oldest denim mills in China, dating back to 1987. Technology- and innovation-led, it is also one of the Co-Founders of Denim City in Amsterdam. Established near Milan in 1938, Candiani Denim is an internationally renowned, vertically-integrated denim mill that supplies some of the most prestigious fashion brands in the world.
ToxServices LLC created ToxFMD Screened Chemistry, a ZDHC MRSL Level 1 ecolabel that paves the way to intelligent and cost-effective hazard reduction and informed substitution throughout the supply chain. The Consorzio Conciatori di Ponte a Egola is an industry body which works to promote ‘sustainability’ in the leather tanning industry in the Tuscany region of Italy.
