HNS Enterprises Forging ahead with Make in India initiative

HNS Enterprises established its trading business activity in 2016. Initially, they started with sales and service activity for various brands and earned good recognition from major apparel manufacturers across India.

They analyse the needs of the apparel industry, carefully study the available mechanisms and then design the machinery based on all the inputs received by their team. They even manufactured masks during the COVID crisis, taking approval from SITRA in 2019, which also led to exploration of a knits manufacturing unit in Bengaluru catering to one of the established knits brand. In the early stages, HNS imported selected machines from abroad and used to sell them to their customers. Since they did not have own manufacturing facility, these machines were manufactured at their overseas partner’s place.

However, during extended COVID, they started own venture of manufacturing machines and automation with the first output of a Hot Air Seam Sealing Machine to serve the nation with Make in India products during the scarcity of machines and understanding the need of the hour. Though COVID largely affected the entire world but at the same time forced HNS to take the next leap to their machine manufacturing process. This journey moved on with the Pocket Shaping Machine being the second product, and recently they launched BUTTONHOLE INDEXER AUTOMATION, which can be fixed on any existing Button Hole Machine. This was completely designed and manufactured in India and they also exhibited this innovation at the GTE 2024 Exhibition held in Bangalore, receiving excellent response. Even though the appearance of the machine is so simple compared to any other brands, performance-wise, this is on par with any successful Button Hole Indexer brand in the world. This was highly appreciated by most of the apparel manufacturing companies’ executives who visited their stall and saw the live demonstration.

The speciality of the HNS is listening to customers and upgrading the products as per the needs of the industry and this approach is highly appreciated by their esteemed customers. HNS’ journey of manufacturing machines and automation under the “Make in India” will continue with the vast support of apparel industry heavyweights. They have achieved a little and are aiming towards indigenously building machines and automation at the maximum possible level to put a brake on the cost of imports of machines for apparel manufactures in India. HNS is determined to reach this aim by taking slow and steady steps to improve the quality of machines and automation purely based on customer feedback. Their motto is “innovation with cost savings”.
